Encouraging reading is one of the most important things we can do to help your child succeed. It can be tough finding the right books to keep them interested, which is why I am so excited that our class will be participating in Scholastic Reading Club this school year.
With Scholastic Reading Club:
Every book you buy earns FREE Books for our classroom library
You can choose from handpicked, grade- and reading-level-specific books for your child
You’ll find the best values on a variety of formats, including eBooks
Each month, your child will bring home Reading Club flyers or you can just go online and shop around whenever you’re ready! Together you can choose from books hand-selected by teachers and experts, and then order online or by returning your order form and payment to me. You can shop at any grade level’s catalog and I will send home various ones as well. Each level has a great focus that ranges across the “titled” grade level.

*There are some good deals on Percy Jackson and the Olympians books.
*Kids love to read Guinness World Records books. The new edition is $7.
*Esperanza Rising is $3 and Holes is $4. Both are excellent books.
3rd Graders Catalog
*If your child likes to read about science, the Smart Words Science Readers Habitat Pack is only $10 for 5 books.
*The Constitution of the United States fits right in with the 5th grade standards.
*My Father’s Dragon is a classic.
